CCB’s ties with the UK Deepen: Our Headmaster Named Honorary Consul 🇬🇧

Nicholas Reeves, our Headmaster at Colegio Colombo Británico, has been appointed the new Honorary Consul of the United Kingdom in Cali. The ceremony took place yesterday at CCB’s Casa de la Música, bringing together the British Ambassador to Colombia, George Hodgson and representatives from the British Embassy, the UN, Cali’s Secretariat Of Education, the Colombian Air Force, Policía Nacional, universities, business leaders, and present and former members of the school’s Board of Directors.

The appointment carries special weight for our institution. Seventy years ago, the CCB was founded by then-British Consul Arthur Butler Laurence, alongside a group of Cali entrepreneurs who wanted to bring the UK’s educational excellence and values to our city.

Today, that history opens a new chapter.

As Honorary Consul, our Headmaster will help forge closer ties between the British Embassy and our region, driving cooperation in education, culture, sport, and social development — opening the door to partnerships that benefit both our school and the wider city.

More than a personal honour, this appointment reaffirms CCB’s international vocation and our commitment to forming global citizens who build bridges between cultures and lead with purpose. We Unite Peoples and Cultures Through Education.

Congratulations to Mr. Reeves on this appointment! We know this is the start of a great story connecting Cali and the United Kingdom.
