CCB

Early Childhood (From Tiny Cubs up to 1st Grade)

The beginning of everything. An environment where learning means exploring, playing, and discovering the world with curiosity.
The journey at CCB begins here. We combine the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) with Reggio Emilia principles to create an enriching and stimulating foundation for our youngest learners.

Learning keys:

Inquiry and Play:

Play is the primary vehicle for inquiry, motivating students to ask questions and solve problems joyfully.

The "Third Teacher":

We treat our countryside campus and stimulating classrooms as active participants in learning, providing spaces for hands-on discovery.

Multilingual Foundations:

We honour each child's mother tongue while introducing new languages from day one, fostering cognitive flexibility.

Heart and Mind:

We prioritise social and emotional well-being alongside cognitive development, guided by careful teacher observation.

Ongoing support

There are two teachers per classroom. In the case of Tiny Cubs classrooms, three.

Multidisciplinary Team of Experts:

The section has a team of experts consisting of: 1 psychologist, 1 neuropsychologist, 1 occupational therapist, 1 speech therapist, and 1 Well-being coordinator.

CCB

Primary
(2nd to 5th Grade)

At this stage, the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) evolves. Students transition from foundational skills toward a model where they become independent and collaborative learners, taking leadership and greater responsibility for their education.

Learning keys:

Inquiry in a Trilingual
World:

With most of the curriculum taught in English, students not only learn the language but learn in the language, developing natural and academic fluency. In 4th Grade, we begin teaching French.

Knowledge without Borders:

Through a transdisciplinary model, students explore global themes, learning to view knowledge as a connected whole rather than isolated subjects.

The Student as
Protagonist:

We foster student agency, where each child has a voice and choice, developing the attributes of the IB Profile and CCB Values within a framework of emotional well-being.

Specialised Accompaniment:

We have a dedicated team of bilingual teachers and specialists who support both academic rigour and the social growth of each student (2 psychologists, 1 neuropsychologist, 1 Well-being coordinator). From 4th Grade onwards, the School offers the High-Performance Athletes Programme, which gives them academic flexibility so they can attend training and competitions.

The Exhibition - Reaching the Peak of the PYP:

The cycle culminates in 5th Grade with the Exhibition, a milestone where students demonstrate their ability to investigate, collaborate, and propose real solutions to world problems, proving they are ready for Secondary challenges.

CCB

Secondary
(6th to 12th Grade)

A vibrant community where academic rigour meets personal discovery. Beyond teaching subjects, we equip students with the critical thinking and resilience needed to succeed globally.

Learning keys:

Full IB Pathway:

In Secondary, we offer the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme (DP), and the Career-related Programme (CP).

Skills Development:

Focus on strengthening essential research, self-management, and critical and creative thinking skills.

Future-focused:

In their final years, students choose the academic or professional pathway that best suits their life project.

Emotional Support Professionals:

The section has three psychologists, a Well-being coordinator, and a large team of specialists from the Learning Support Programme in various subjects.

Pathways toward the professional future

The IB in Secondary:

Upon entering the final two years of the International Baccalaureate, students do not follow a single path. They choose the programme that best suits their interests and goals, with a common foundation: preparation for university and the future they desire.

DP (Diploma Programme | 11th and 12th):

A world-prestigious curriculum for those seeking academic depth. Students choose the subjects they are passionate about at Higher or Standard Level, from Mathematics to Philosophy or Music, according to their passions and professional aspirations. The IB Diploma Programme is recognised for its academic excellence by universities nationally and internationally and allows our students to access benefits in admissions or course credits thanks to it. Students take university courses, all of which are equivalent to AP courses.

CP (Career-related Programme | 11th and 12th):

An innovative framework that combines academic courses with professional learning. Thanks to our alliances with Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and Universidad ICESI, students attend classes in a real university environment according to their career choice. Currently, CCB offers the CP option to students interested in careers in Administration/Business, Medicine, Industrial Engineering, Psychology, among others. CCB will continue to expand its university career offerings in the future.
